Junk Junkies X Film
Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music is a 1965 musical film directed by Robert Wise and starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer.
The film is based on the Broadway musical The Sound of Music, with songs written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, and with the musical book written by the writing team of Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse.
The musical originated with the book The Story of the Trapp Family Singers by Maria von Trapp. It contains many popular songs, including "Edelweiss", "My Favorite Things", "Climb Ev'ry Mountain", "Do-Re-Mi", "Sixteen Going on Seventeen", and "The Lonely Goatherd", as well as the title song.
The movie version was filmed on location in Salzburg, Austria and Bavaria in Southern Germany, and also at the 20th Century Fox Studios in California.
It was photographed in 70 mm Todd-AO by Ted D. McCord. It won a total of five Academy Awards including Best Picture in 1965 and is one of the most popular musicals ever produced. The cast album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
Adjusted for inflation, it made $1.046 billion domestically at 2010 prices, putting it third on the list of all-time inflation-adjusted box office hits, behind Gone with the Wind and Star Wars.
In 2001, The United States Library of Congress selected the film for preservation in the National Film Registry as it was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

Junk Junkies X Quotes
*On believing*
“Above all, be true to yourself, and if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it.”
“Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.”
“I can believe anything provided it is incredible.”
“I am tomorrow, or some future day, what I establish today. I am today what I established yesterday or some previous day.”
“It is my belief, you cannot deal with the most serious things in the world unless you understand the most amusing”
“For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who don't believe, no proof is possible.”
“You can have anything you want if you will give up the belief that you can't have it.”
*On Confidence*
-Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.
-Confidence is contagious and so is lack of confidence, and the other party will recognize both.
-Confidence is the companion of success.
-Confidence, like art, never comes from having all the answers; it comes from being open to all the questions.
-The man who trims himself to suit everybody will soon whittle himself away.
-Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right.
-You can determine how confident people are by listening to what they don't say about themselves.
-You cannot consistently perform in a manner which is inconsistent with the way you see yourself.

Junk Junkies X Cassidy's wonder life.
On April 15, 2005 three men, including Cassidy, armed with .45 and .40 caliber handguns, 9 mm pistols, and an AK-47 variant, fired on three other men during an argument that occurred in the rapper's West Oak Lane neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia just before 1 a.m. Desmond Hawkins and his friends drove to Cassidy's house in a van seeking retribution for a fight that had happened between one of Hawkins' friends and a member of Cassidy's crew outside of a nearby pharmacy only hours before.
When Hawkins and his friends pulled into the alley in front of Cassidy's house, a gun fight immediately erupted, with Cassidy and 2 members of his crew firing at Desmond Hawkins and his friends in the van. Ballistic evidence confirmed that 30 shots were fired into the van and 12 shots were fired from the van, with 1 shot landing in Desmond Hawkins back, fatally wounding him. Desmond's 2 other friends were treated at hospitals for gunshot wounds and released.
On June 8, a warrant was issued for Cassidy's arrest on charges of murder, attempted murder, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault, conspiracy and weapons possession. Cassidy surrendered to Philadelphia police early afternoon June, 17th.[2] At his arraignment on Saturday, June 18, he was denied bail, and sent to Philadelphia's Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, a medium-security prison, where he would serve his time during the trial and after he was sentenced.
Cassidy's murder case took a turn when the primary witness withdrew his confession, stating, "I only told the police what they wanted to hear, because they wouldn't let me leave, and I had a bullet in my leg." This resulted in the Judge stating that Cassidy would only have to stand trial for a 3rd degree murder. On August 16, 2005, Municipal Judge Marsha Neifield ruled that prosecutors had sufficient evidence to charge Cassidy with third-degree murder, attempted murder charges, and weapons offenses. This was later overturned to the original, first degree charge - negating the possibility of parole. On January 25, 2006 Cassidy was convicted of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of aggravated assault and possession of an instrument of crime for his involvement in the shooting.
He was sentenced to 11 to 23 months in jail and was credited with the 7 months he had already served.
Cassidy was released from Pennsylvania's Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility on March 2, 2006 after serving eight months.
Car accident
Cassidy was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident on the night of October 5, 2006 when a commercial truck collided with Cassidy's SUV while he was a passenger.
He was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center, where he was diagnosed with a fractured skull and several broken bones on the left side of his face. He still has visible scars from the accident.
and Thank God. He's still alive...and he gave us CASH,the album in 2010.(^_^)

Junk Junkies X Sperry Top-Sider
Sperry Top-Sider is a brand of boat shoe designed in 1935 by Paul Sperry, older brother of author/illustrator Armstrong Sperry. Sperry was an avid boater who, like most boaters, risked injury while walking on the slippery deck of his boat.
He had tried without success to design a shoe that would provide improved traction. His successful design was inspired by the pattern of grooves or cracks on his dog's feet and combined a leather upper-shoe with a herringbone pattern of grooves on the sole. The cutting of grooves in the sole of the Top-Sider was an implementation of a process of splitting or siping a shoe sole invented and patented in the 1920s by John Sipe.
The brand is owned by Collective Brands Inc. Performance and Lifestyle Group, formerly Stride Rite Corporation. The brand currently uses the advertising slogan "A Passion for the Sea". Sperry product still features its signature non-slip soles.
Today, the boat shoe remains popular with younger generations. Everyone from elementary school kids through teens in middle school and high school, and college students. Students in American preparatory schools are also seen wearing them. East coast fashion is often seen incorporating the shoe as well.

Junk Junkies X Bally Shoe Company
The Bally Shoe company was founded as "Bally & Co" in 1851 by Carl Franz Bally (1821-1899) and his brother Fritz in the basement of their family home in Schönenwerd in the Canton of Solothurn, Switzerland. In 1854, a shoe factory was set up in the village but Fritz Bally left the fledgling business and Carl Franz Bally carried on under the corporate name "C.F. Bally."
By the 1860s Bally employed more than 500 people.
Within another decade it had built an international reputation for quality and design in both men's and women's shoes and expanded operations outside of Switzerland to Buenos Aires, Argentina; Montevideo, Uruguay; and Paris, France.
Carl Franz Bally died in 1899 and his sons carried on with the business. Although the Bally family maintained voting control, in 1907 "C.F. Bally & Co. Ltd." went public, their shares listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange. The added capital allowed massive expansion for their much-in-demand shoes and by 1916 they employed more than 7,000 people.
The company survived the Great Depression of the 1930s and the difficulties of World War II to expand globally with great success in the post-War era including a successful entry into the North American market.
Numerous difficulties followed and the company struggled under poor management against a tide of low-cost products from developing countries flooding the global market. In 1999 Bally was sold to the American investment fund Texas Pacific Group. On 22 April 2008 it was announced that Bally International AG is to be sold to Labelux Group Inc.[1].
Today the company is headquartered in Caslano, Ticino, Switzerland.
And in Junk Junkies Reject Shop @ Austin Heights, we have 3 pairs of the quality shoes from Bally.
